There are many excellent websites for learning about and researching the Great Fire of London.

The Museum of London has a very good explanation of what happened and a game that can be played:

The British Broadcasting Company (BBC) has a very detailed explanation of the fire with several additional resources available on their page:

The London Fire Brigade has a wonderful description of firefighting techniques, equipment and the problems that were encountered during the Great Fire. The site has both a description of the fire and links along the left hand side of the screen that provides an account of the timeline:

There are also many websites about Samuel Pepys, who witnessed the fire and recorded what he saw in his diary.
